Ideation & Market Research
0–1 weekFor straightforward or well-defined product briefs, this stage can be near-instant — we already have deep category knowledge across fitness, pet, and furniture. For new product directions, we conduct targeted market analysis: demand signals, competitor landscape, pricing benchmarks, and compliance requirements for your target market (USA, UK, EU, or global).
Concept Design
0–2 weeksTimeline depends on complexity. If you're building from our existing range with minor modifications — colour, logo, packaging — design can be near-immediate. Custom designs (new shapes, new materials, bespoke products pieces) require 2D/3D renders, ergonomics review, and structural consideration before we proceed. Visual sign-off is required before any tooling or sampling is commissioned.
Technical Specification
1–2 weeksMaterial selection and full documentation — rubber compound grades for fitness, fabric and structural materials for pet products, wood grades and finish specifications for furniture. Compliance requirements (CE, REACH, Prop 65, FSC for furniture) are mapped to materials at this stage — not added later. You approve the specification before anything is made.
Prototyping
0–4 weeksThe widest timeline range in the process — because it depends entirely on what you need. 0 weeks: product is pulled directly from existing tooling with your branding applied — no new prototype needed. 1–2 weeks: minor modifications to existing products. 3–4 weeks: fully custom designs requiring new tooling or moulds. Physical samples are shipped to your location for review. Sample charge applies and is typically credited against your bulk order.
Development & Iteration
2–4 weeksRevision rounds based on your sample feedback — typically 1–3 rounds. Simple changes (colour, label, packaging) resolve quickly. Structural or material changes take longer. We don't bill by the round — revisions continue until the sample meets your specification. For larger programmes, this stage also includes production capacity confirmation and lead time scheduling.
Testing & Quality Assurance
1–3 weeks (parallel)Run in parallel with revision rounds wherever possible to avoid adding to your total timeline. Fitness equipment: load testing, weight accuracy, rubber compound REACH compliance. Pet products: structural integrity, sharp edge check, cord pull-strength, REACH for surface coatings. Furniture: load-bearing tests, FSC material verification, finish safety. CE Declaration of Conformity and SGS or Bureau Veritas test reports issued before production approval.
Launch Preparation
2–4 weeksPrivate label packaging finalised — brand name, logo, retail and compliance labelling. FBA FNSKU labels applied at factory for e-commerce buyers. Retail shelf finishing for physical channel buyers. Export logistics planning, freight documentation, and delivery scheduling to your warehouse, distribution centre, or Amazon FBA fulfilment centre.
